The Vaccines是我去年初愛上的英國團，愛爾蘭朋友推薦給我的。

不得不提一下主打"Post Break Up Sex"這首歌，這是我認識他們的第一首歌。還記得第一次聽的時候嚇了一跳 (我還笑了，因為這首歌也太直接了吧)。這是我在專輯裡面最喜歡的歌，旋律和編曲都很棒。
我覺得The Vaccines的一個特色就是他們的歌詞實在都很有意思，舉一例來說就是剛剛提到的"Post Break Up Sex"。專輯裡每一首歌詞都很有趣。
The Vaccines的另一個特色就是歌曲都很短，大部分的歌都不超過三分鐘。整張專輯11首歌總共35分鐘，第六首歌"Norgaard"總長度是1:39，第一首歌"Ra Ra Ra"更只有1:22秒 (我第一次聽的時候還以為我沒聽完就按到next了)。但歌曲短並不代表他們的音樂做得不認真，這整張專輯我從頭到尾都聽得很過癮。
原本去年秋天The Vaccines就要在Webster Hall表演，但因為主唱Justin Young喉嚨受傷的關係，他們停止了所有美國的巡迴。我當然很失望(因為早就買好了票，哈哈)，不過為了他們之後的第二張專輯著想，休息是必要的。
而半年後，我終於如願以償的看到了The Vaccines。

The Vaccines在Webster Hall的初登場是sold out show，場內擠滿著1200多位搖滾樂迷，大家的能量在他們出場的那一刻，隨著第一首歌"Blow It Up"一起爆發。

連每一下心臟的跳動也都是跟著鼓聲的節奏一起。

半年後的The Vaccines有了些改變，Justin的頭髮留長了，終於可以使勁的甩；樂團出了幾首新歌，這次的巡迴表演了三首，分別是 Tiger Blood, Teenage Icon和 No Hope，聽完之後我只能說我非常期待新專輯。

整個晚上幾乎都是大合唱(是說他們總共也只有一張專輯可以讓歌迷背歌詞)，依現場的熱烈程度，我想"Wetsuit"和"If You Wanna"是最受歡迎的兩首歌。
我個人也很喜歡"Wetsuit"這首歌，我喜歡它的旋律和歌詞，每次聽都有種想在曠野中奔跑的衝動。Go easy on me. Put a wetsuit on. Come on, come on.Grow your hair out long. Come on, come on. Put a t-shirt on. Do me wrong, do me wrong, do me wrong.
而"Post Break Up Sex"出來的時候我喊得嗓子都啞了，終於聽到現場版啦！早就計劃好要一起大唱"Oh when you love somebody but you find someone,uh huh huh. And it all unravels and it comes undone uh-huh-huh"那段。(好好奇這首歌是不是主唱個經驗...科科)

安可曲是Norgaad (我早該猜到的！)，這首歌好棒！它的節奏很快，大家邊跳還要跟上節奏唱出那句"A-m-a-n-d-a Norgaad"，The Vaccines用很激烈的方式為這個晚上畫下句點。(話說我在還沒有看過歌詞以前完全不曉得他們唱的是"Amanda"這個名字，因為光用聽的根本聽不出來，哈哈。這首歌很推薦一聽)。
因為他們的音樂都偏短，開場前我就想演唱會應該很快就會結束了。果然如我所料，這場演唱會比我參加過的都短很多，專輯裡的歌全部唱一遍再加上三首新歌，一個半小時不到就結束了。
雖然時間不長，卻令人回味無窮，這幾名英國少年成功的征服了美國的舞台。

還有一件事情想分享，有關吉他手Freddie Cowan。他大概是我遇過最難拍的吉他手了吧。其他團的吉他手在自己solo出來的時候，都會理所當然的走到台前，帥氣的把整段solo彈完後再退到旁邊。而這位先生他solo是會站出來沒錯，但是他大概刷個兩個小節就會默默退開，我第一次看到有吉他手solo才刷幾個音就轉身的！！！(是害羞嗎！？) ，比鼓手還難抓鏡頭耶。

依他們live的表現和這幾年一直不斷累積的人氣，我想再過幾年，The Vaccines一定可以登上MSG之類的大舞台表演，這團日後的發展令人期待。

認真的聽完一場搖滾演唱會其實是很累的，因為要很投入的一直大聲唱歌加上隨著節奏跳動(還要背著我的SONY C-3小砲拍照)，整晚一直這樣滿格的精力充沛到散場的時候我真的快累斃了。
這時候搖滾樂的魔力就出現了，雖然身理覺得很疲憊，心裡卻是無比暢快，很久沒有感覺這麼輕鬆了。什麼期末考的、十幾頁的期末報告的，我都不怕了。
我想起了珊妮公主《離別曲》的第一句歌詞，「最美的時光，聽搖滾樂」，以前聽得迷迷糊糊，現在終於懂了這句歌詞的意思。
搖滾樂真美好。

It's been a long while since I last attended a rock concert. I miss shaking my head and singing along with band loudly in the crowd.
So I went to see The Vaccines!
<What Did You Expect from The Vaccines> was an impressive debut. I have been listening to that album over and over since last year, and the more I listen to it, the more I love it. No doubt, my favorite song is "Post Break Up Sex" (what a proactive song haha).
It was a sold out show at Webster Hall that night; the floor was packed with fans. As soon as the band were up on the stage with the first song "Blow It Up," the crowd started jumping, the whole floor was vibrating, for a moment I really thought Webster Hall was gonna crash haha. It was crazy but this was what makes rock concerts so much fun. You scream, you shout, you move, you jump, you shake your head...you do not care about anything, you just go with flow and respond to the rhythm and the music; even your heart beats in accordance with the drums. The Vaccines performed all the songs from their first album plus three new songs (which I thought were all very good, now I really can't wait for their second album.)The band closed the night with "Norgaard", one of my favorite songs from the album.
I love this English band...Great show! Hopefully their second album will come out soon.
